In theory, even if a single hit deals only 1 point of damage, as long as you can land thousands of attacks within one second, you can melt any enemy.
Your goal, therefore, is to maximize fire and burning damage while standing inside Firewall and generating as many separate damage instances as possible. Thanks to Threefold Set effect, you do not even need to cast Firewall manually, since it reliably and automatically summons Firewalls for you.
Unstable Currents Variant
An alternative playstyle for Firewall Sorcerer relies on Unstable Currents to provide a high attack frequency. While this variant also delivers substantial damage, it lacks survivability, and because you have to cast Firewall manually, the gameplay is not very smooth.
Single-Target Damage and Survivability
Although Firewall Sorcerer mainly depends on standing still and cannot leave Ring of Fire, its single-target damage and survivability are both quite impressive.
When facing bosses, thanks to the extremely rapid stacking of burning damage, you barely feel that you are using a DoT skill.
During combat, you simply keep teleporting, maintain Inferno almost permanently to create giant fire rings, and then watch enemies around you get incinerated. You do not even need to cast Charged Bolts frequently, as passive damage alone can clear the screen.
In terms of survivability, most Sorcerer builds struggle greatly, so you will need Emberfury and Drognan’s Anguish to address the survival issue.
